Vertigo Games is in pre-production on a “high-profile, multi-platform AAA VR game” based on a globally recognized franchise, a job listing suggests.
Revealed through the new job listing for a Lead Level Designer, Vertigo Games outlined more about its future plans. Spotted by Brad Lynch, this listing suggests the studio’s upcoming project will utilize Unreal Engine and asks for “proven experience in level design through the full development cycle of console/PC action-adventure games.”
This wouldn’t be the first time we’ve seen Vertigo Games work on an established series. Last month saw the Rotterdam-based studio release The 7th Guest VR, remaking Trilobyte’s 1993 point-and-click adventure. Our recent review believed this remake “summoned the particular 90s adventure game charm” of the original cult classic.
Beyond The 7th Guest VR, this year has been packed with releases published by Vertigo, like Another Fisherman’s Tale, Toss! and Hellsweeper VR. With Arizona Sunshine 2 rounding this off on all major VR platforms next month, that’s not easing up just yet.
