Survivorman VR: The Descent tackles Arctic environments in a new survival sim with Les Stroud, and it’s available today on Quest.
Published by Cream Productions, Survivorman VR: The Descent is a first-person survival adventure sim based on Canadian filmmaker Les Stroud’s Survivorman series. Following a near-fatal helicopter crash in the Arctic mountains, you are guided by Stroud as you attempt to survive these harsh environments. You can find gameplay footage in the trailer below:
What follows is a battle against extreme cold, hunger and exhaustion, monitored through a HUD-like display mounted on your wrist. Together with Stroud, you must tackle tricky glacial environments, construct hunting traps and keep yourself warm across this frozen wilderness.
Survivorman VR: The Descent arrives today on the Meta Quest platform, with a SteamVR release planned at a later date.
