Co-op zombie wave shooter Drop Dead: The Cabin will receive a full mixed reality mode on Quest 3 and Pro.

Released in February, Drop Dead: The Cabin sees you fending off hordes to secure extraction. Previously teased last week when Mark Zuckerberg revealed Quest 3 mixed reality gameplay, developer Soul Assembly confirms a full ‘MR Mode’ is in development for Meta’s upcoming headset. “Zombie hordes smashing down walls into your personal space turns the conventional ‘home invasion’ into an exhilarating thrill ride,” states the team in a press release.

“Announcing ‘Drop Dead: The Cabin MR Mode’ for the Meta Quest 3 & Pro is a thrilling moment for us,” says publishing manager Joe Waterworth. “We set out to make the perfect game to blow the minds of friends and family alike and really showcase the power of mixed-reality gaming. Collaborating closely with Meta on this project has broadened our scope of what’s achievable with mixed reality. “

MR Mode arrives as a free update “later this year,” and Drop Dead: The Cabin is available now on Quest 2 and Quest Pro. If you’re curious to learn more, you can check out our full interview and hands-on thoughts below:
