Bulletstorm returns once again with a VR version, launching this year on the Quest platform.
Bulletstorm first appeared as a flatscreen release in 2011, developed by People Can Fly, who later co-developed flatscreen games Gears of War: Judgment and Outriders. Set in the 26th century, this FPS sees you playing Grayson Hunt, a former black ops soldier turned space pirate that crash lands on Stygia. Notably, Bulletstorm emphasizes the “skillshot” system for rewarding creative kills.
Revealed during the Meta Quest Gaming Showcase, Bulletstorm VR is being developed by Green Hell VR developers Incuvo and published by People Can Fly. You can check out the trailer below.
It’s currently unknown if Bulletstorm’s co-op multiplayer or score attack modes, titled ‘Anarchy’ and ‘Echoes’ respectively, are included in the VR version.
Bulletstorm VR arrives on the Meta Quest platform and Steam later this year. A PSVR 2 version was separately confirmed during the event.
