Meta confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR is coming to the Quest platform this year, with a full reveal set for June 12.
Toward the end of today’s Meta Quest Gaming Showcase, Meta debuted an incredible teaser for the game, confirming the previously-rumored Nexus title from last year.
There wasn’t anything else to the teaser besides the key art and the promise of a full reveal to come during the Ubisoft Forward event on June 12.
“We are excited to announce that Assassin’s Creed Nexus is coming to the Meta Quest 2 this year,” said David Votypka, Creative Director on Nexus, in a prepared statement. “Tune in to Ubisoft Forward on June 12th to learn all about becoming a master Assassin in virtual reality.”
This is the first update we’ve received from Ubisoft on its Assassin’s Creed VR game in almost three years, after it was first announced at Facebook Connect in 2020. Ubisoft also announced a Splinter Cell VR game at the same time, but cancelled the project in 2022 after several years of development.
Keep an eye out for more info on Assassin’s Creed Nexus soon. We can’t wait to see what the game looks like when it’s revealed at Ubisoft Forward in a few weeks.
