The April PlayStation Store chart rankings are now available, with Pavlov and Creed: Rise to Glory taking top spots between Europe and the US.
For the unfamiliar, Sony publishes a monthly PlayStation blog ranking the PlayStation Store’s top downloads for each active platform. Following March 2023’s download rankings, which saw Pavlov secure the top spot for both Europe and the US/Canada, April’s statistics for PSVR 2 are now live. However, it’s not quite another clean sweep for Vankrupt’s shooter.
In the US/Canada, the top spot goes to Creed: Rise to Glory – Championship Edition, pushing Pavlov into No.2. However, the shooter maintains Europe’s top spot with Creed just behind it. In both regions, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution, Job Simulator and Kayak VR make up the top five. Rounding out the top ten is The Dark Pictures: Switchback, Star Wars: Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, Synth Riders, Pistol Whip and Swordsman VR.
Just like last month, these statistics don’t account for physical PSVR 2 games, this is digital sales only. Games bundled with hardware remain excluded and, unlike March, Horizon Call of the Mountain is completely absent. Games that received PSVR 2 support via an update patch, such as Resident Evil 8 or Gran Turismo 7, are also excluded. However, it’s unclear if this also excludes games supporting flat PS5 gameplay and PSVR 2 when they launch, like The Last Worker.
Following a packed launch in February, April was a quiet month for PSVR 2. Alongside Creed: Rise To Glory – Championship Edition, Sony’s PS5 headset only received farming sim Across The Valley and horror game Afterlife VR. May looks significantly busier with Organ Quarter and PokerStars VR out now, with Walkabout Mini Golf, Organ Quarter, PokerStars VR, Hello Neighbor: Search and Rescue, Humanity and Another Fisherman’s Tale still to come.
