Join the legendary Scout Regiment and take on the Titan threat alone or with friends next summer.
The internationally acclaimed anime Attack on Titan is getting an official VR game for Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest Pro headsets. The news was shared earlier today during the Upload VR 2022 Winter Showcase alongside a handful of exciting game-related announcements.
For those unfamiliar with the series, Attack on Titan is set in a world where humanity is under constant threat of attack from a seemingly-endless army of enormous man-eating humanoids called “Titans.” In order to combat these towering monstrosities, survivors developed the Omni-directional mobility gear, a unique piece of equipment that allows for improved mobility when facing Titans.
Coming in 2023, Attack on Titan: Unbreakable will immerse you in the role of a member of the Scout Regiment, a branch of the Eldian military tasked with human expansion and exploration outside humanity’s gated city. It’s also the branch with the most combat experience against the Titan threat.
It’s unclear at this time exactly what the gameplay will be like. That said, it sounds as though we can expect plenty of intense combat using a variety of unique weaponry as we fight to take back control of the city. According to the game’s developer, UNIVRS, the game will feature a single-player mode as well as multiplayer co-op.
Attack on Titan: Unbreakable will launch on Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest Pro VR headsets next summer with support for Japanese and English languages. For more information visit here.
If you can’t wait until then we recommend checking out Attack on Quest, a fan-made indie game available via SideQuest that does a phenomenal job of bringing the post-apocalyptic world to life in VR.
