VR fitness continues to evolve at a rapid pace.
Liteboxer, the VR fitness app for Meta Quest 2 headsets, today announced the launch of Total Body, an all-new full-body workout led by Liteboxer professional trainers. Whereas previous workouts focused primarily on boxing, Total Body has you performing a variety of different movements designed to work the entirety of your body.
You’ll perform everything from battle ropes and lung lines to squat ropes and speed bags. Pretty much everything you need to get your sweat on. Meanwhile, Liteboxer software trackers your movements and measures your performance based on accuracy, force, and timing. This data is used to provide you with estimated calories burned.
Similar to Supernatural, another popular VR fitness app, workouts are synched to the beat of popular music from artists like Justin Beiber, Lady Gaga, and The Weeknd. Former “Bachelor” and Liteboxer brand ambassador Matt James recently appeared on The View to demonstrate the new Total Body workout.
“Liteboxer has captured what is intrinsically motivating about having a coach in your face pushing you to get in a couple more reps and bring it to the headset, for a fraction of the cost of a gym membership and with the convenience of not having to leave your home! So no need for that $3,000 rower,” said the company.
Liteboxer is available free on the Meta Quest 2. The free plan allows you access to a set number of Punch Track workouts and Trainer Classes. There’s also a premium subscription for $14.99 per month that unlocks even more content.
