The mech-powered sports game will be available on Meta Quest 2, PC VR, and Pico VR headsets on September 15th.
Resolution Games (Demeo, Blaston, Angry Birds VR) today announced the official price and release date for its upcoming multiplayer VR sports games Ultimechs. Coming next month to popular VR headsets, this futuristic competitive experience will have players going head-to-head in mech-powered soccer matches.
Ultimechs will be available free-to-play on Meta Quest 2, PC VR, and Pico VR headsets beginning September 15th. The game will also feature a seasonal battle pass system with new cosmetic enhancements and paint jobs. Additional details regarding content and pricing will be revealed ahead of the game’s release.
“When we designed Ultimechs, we tried to keep in mind what would go into creating a new sport that people would love playing and watching years from now,” said Tommy Palm, Founder and CEO of Resolution Games.
“Ultimechs combines the excitement, drama, and atmosphere of traditional sports and makes the action quick and simple to understand, with plenty of room for big power-plays and clever strategies. Players who want to take things to the next level can sign up for the UltiPass, a seasonal membership that unlocks a wealth of ways to upgrade the look of their mechs.”
Can’t wait to jump into the action? Resolution Games will be hosting the Ultimechs Pre-Season Preview Weekend on Steam from August 25 – 28 during which you can compete against other players in either 1v1 or 2v2 matchups. You can signup here.
