Reality Labs will be handing out free Quest 2 accessories in celebration of the festivities.

Meta (formerly Facebook) recently announced the company’s first-ever Quest Day, a new annual holiday dedicated entirely to the Meta Quest. The festivities will take place virtually via an official livestream that kicks-off tomorrow at 9am PT. While it’s not clear exactly what Meta has in store, the company promises an entertaining morning filled with “with drops, inventions, and giveaways”.

The news was revealed by Reality Labs’ new apparent mascot, Dr. 6DOF, alongside his trusted sidekick, Questy – a humanoid VR headset that’s as adorable as it is unsettling. As previously mentioned, tomorrow’s celebration will include a variety of giveaways courtesy of Meta. In one of the promotional videos provided by the company, you can catch a quick glimpse at what appears to be a pair of official Quest 2 socks. Meta also teases other “brand new accessories” that will “enhance your Quest 2 gameplay experience”.

Items will be available in limited quantities so you’ll need to move quickly if you hope to score any free goodies. That said, tomorrow’s celebration only extends to those in the United States (sorry Europe and Asia). The company hopes to include those outside the US in next year’s celebration.

“It’s almost Quest Day. That’s when the wacky inventions we’ve been working on will hopefully, be, well…working. But definitely when invention-inspired drops will be ready for you to snag”, states the company on the official Quest Day website. “They’re tailored to whatever you like, presented on whatever holiday you observe. Check out what we have in store—created especially for you and your Quest 2. These drops have limited quantities so first come first serve!”

Quest Day kicks off on December 14th at 9am PT on Insta.
