We’ve been following creepy VR horror game, A Wake Inn, for a little while now, and now we finally know when we’ll be able to play it.

Developer VR Bros this week confirmed that the title will hit Steam on February 25th. To mark the occasion the studio also revealed another small trailer for the game, which you can see below.

A Wake Inn Release Date Revealed

A Wake Inn sees players explore a mysterious estate, confined to a wheelchair. The game uses a unique locomotion system, getting players to wheel themselves along environments. You’ll use this mechanic to avoid detection from disturbing enemy mannequins, solve puzzles and, when necessary, defend yourself from attacks. The game also uses a physical inventory management system that another recent video explored.

It’s this smart, VR-first design that gives us hope for the game. Locomotion in a lot of VR titles can feel unnatural and break immersion but, hopefully, A Wake Inn’s take on the concept allows us to navigate virtual worlds and still feel like we’re actually there. VR Bros also says the game should last around five to six hours overall.

February 25th is shaping up to be a busy day for SteamVR fans. That’s the same day Gamebit launches the Early Access version of promising VR adventure title, Naau: The Lost Eye. Both titles are coming to Steam, but A Wake Inn will also be available on Viveport and the Oculus Rift store.
